How to Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go! If you've decided to delete your Fiamora account, this page will guide you through the process and explain what happens to your data.

Before You Delete

Please consider the following before deleting your account:

• Account deletion is permanent - Once deleted, you cannot recover your account, matches, messages, or any other data
• Active subscriptions - Cancel any active premium subscriptions before deleting your account to avoid future charges
• Download your data - You may want to download a copy of your data before deletion (available in app settings)
• Alternative options - Consider temporarily deactivating your account or adjusting your privacy settings instead

How to Delete Your Account (In-App)

Follow these steps to delete your account directly from the Fiamora mobile app:

Step 1: Open Settings

1. Open the Fiamora app on your device
2. Tap on your profile icon in the bottom navigation bar
3. Tap the settings icon (gear icon) in the top right corner

Step 2: Navigate to Account Settings

1. Scroll down to the "Account" section
2. Tap on "Account Management"
3. Tap on "Delete Account"

Step 3: Confirm Deletion

1. Read the information about what will be deleted
2. Select a reason for leaving (optional but helps us improve)
3. Enter your password to confirm
4. Tap "Delete My Account" to confirm

Step 4: Verification

1. You will receive a confirmation email
2. Click the link in the email to finalize the deletion
3. Your account will be permanently deleted within 24 hours

Alternative: Delete via Email Request

If you're unable to access the app or prefer to delete your account via email, you can send a deletion request:

1. Send an email to support@fiamora.app from the email address associated with your account
2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
3. Include the following information in your email:
   • Your full name
   • The email address associated with your Fiamora account
   • Your phone number (if provided during registration)
   • A clear statement requesting account deletion
4. We will process your request within 5-7 business days
5. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Immediate Effects

• Your profile will be immediately hidden from other users
• You will no longer appear in matches or search results
• You will be logged out of all devices
• You will no longer be able to access your account

Data Deletion

The following data will be permanently deleted within 30 days:

• Profile information (name, bio, photos, interests)
• Messages and conversations
• Matches and connections
• Posts and comments
• Likes and interactions
• Location data
• Account settings and preferences

Data Retention

Some data may be retained for legitimate business purposes or legal compliance:

• Transaction records - Payment and subscription history (for tax and accounting purposes)
• Legal compliance - Data required by law or for ongoing legal proceedings
• Safety and security - Records of violations, bans, or safety incidents (to prevent abuse)
• Anonymized data - Aggregated, anonymized analytics data (cannot be linked back to you)

Canceling Premium Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel premium subscriptions purchased through app stores. You must cancel separately:

For iOS (App Store)

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
2. Tap your name at the top
3. Tap "Subscriptions"
4. Find Fiamora and tap it
5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

For Android (Google Play)

1. Open the Google Play Store app
2. Tap the menu icon (three lines) and select "Subscriptions"
3. Find Fiamora and tap it
4. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

Alternatives to Account Deletion

If you're not ready for permanent deletion, consider these alternatives:

Temporarily Deactivate

Hide your profile without deleting your account. You can reactivate anytime by logging back in.

Adjust Privacy Settings

Control who can see your profile and in which connection modes you're visible.

Take a Break

Simply log out and take a break. Your account will remain inactive until you return.

Limit Notifications

Turn off push notifications and email alerts if they're overwhelming.
